BRAG Enterprises Ltd

BRAG is a training organisation, that understands there are different factors that can prevent people achieving their goals and progressing in to employment. We specialise in specific training to help overcome these barriers. The courses we offer at the moment range from short sharp 2 day taster courses to full 8 week courses. BRAG deliver courses at various venues throughout Fife.

Clued-Up

Clued Up work with young people aged 16 to 25 years affected with substance use by providing drop-in, one-to-one and group work to support young people to find their own path into education, employment or training. We work using a flexible asset based approach to suit the needs and interests of each individual.

Fife Voluntary Action

Fife Voluntary Action (FVA) works with a range of partners to ensure that people get the support they need to achieve their goals. FVA can help you to find a volunteering opportunity that is right for you, provide 1:1 support and ensure that you get any training needed to make that important step to paid employment.

West Fife Enterprise

West Fife Enterprise are based in Forthview Learning Centre in Newmills and offer a variety of courses under their Employability Academy including: -

Woodwork (full-time only) - working towards a SVQ Level 1 in Performing Engineering Operations working with wood.

Bitesize Worktries (full-time only) - An IT/Admin course where you can gain an ECDL, PC Passport, Admin qualifications etc.

Find a Job Keep a Job (full-time and part-time available) - CVs, Interview Techniques, Work Placement, Job Search etc.

A weekly training allowance, assistance with childcare costs and help with travel costs are on offer.

Fife Works

Fife Works are an employment support project hosted by Kingdom Housing Association Ltd. Based in Crosshill, we support individuals from all over Fife. Clients will be offered tailored key worker support to find suitable routes into employment and training, and the project offers careers information, advice and guidance. We can offer CV assistance, help with completing application forms, interview skills preparation, job matching, assistance to access funding to remove barriers to getting employment, and, we have links with local employers to ensure our clients meet local demand.

Ore Valley Community Initiatives Ltd

Ore Valley Community Initiatives Ltd is a subsidiary of Ore Valley Housing Association. Ore Valley Community Initiatives Ltd has a strong and continuing record of positive community engagement and a very positive partnership with Fife Council. Ore Valley Community Initiatives Ltd has led on a number of key regeneration projects, including the redevelopment of the Lochgelly Miners Institute and the construction of a business incubation centre on an adjacent site.

Ore Valley Community Initiatives Ltd is also a member of the Fife Housing Association Alliance, which delivers a wide range of community initiatives, particularly supporting people who are unemployed or on low incomes.

Ore Valley Community Initiatives Ltd will support Fife-ETC as follows:

  • Provide access to over 10,000 tenants living in disadvantaged communities
  • Deliver a wider range of community training programmes through social enterprise partners
  • Encourage referrals to Fife-ETC from participants in the numerous community initiatives
  • Provide facilities for training and meetings
  • Has extensive knowledge & experience of sourcing project related funding
  • Provide business development and marketing advice
