We are able to find suitable work placements with prospective employers to enable individuals who have not been within a workforce for some time with the opportunity to gain some valuable insight into both the role and the company. Working with multiple employers we can also arrange work trials.
Where an employer has a vacancy that you wish to apply for, a work trial can be a useful way for the employer and yourself to see if the job is a suitable match.
We can liaise with prospective employers to negotiate a work trial on your behalf.
These are usually unpaid but, with Department of Work and Pensions prior approval, if you are on state benefits you should be able to retain these benefits and receive additional traveling expenses.
A work trial would be expected to last no more than a week as this should be enough time for both parties to assess suitability.
Work Placements can be a valuable way to gain work experience to enhance your CV and also gain a work related reference.
We are able to engage with employers on your behalf to find suitable work placements for you that, where possible, have been tailored to suit your specific needs and usually longer term, lasting between one and eight weeks, although this can be flexible if needed.
When work placements have went well they can sometimes lead to offers of employment although this is not always the case so it is no reflection on your performance if it doesn't happen to you.
We can, and have, arranged work placements within all sectors including Construction, Security, Hospitality, Admin, Rural Skills and Care.
